Esports: Just a Fad or the Future of Sports?
With Adidas, Visa, Lionsgate, The Miami Heat, and Audi all joining the Esports ecosystem as sponsors in January alone, it appears that Esports has achieved mainstream status. From millions of fans tuning into live streams each day, to selling out events at stadiums like LANXESS Arena and Barclays Center, Esports is no longer seen as just a hobby for teenage boys, but a thriving aspect of the global entertainment industry. But will it last?
For the third installment of the TEO Esports Exchange, in cooperation with Factory and Lagardère Sports, we will host a moderated fireside talk at Factory Berlin focusing on the future of the industry. Our guests include representatives from Esport Team, Fnatic; a traditional sports marketing agency dipping its toes into the industry, Lagardère; and a global gaming agency, Freaks 4U Gaming.
