The next workshop presented by Factory Women will focus on principles of design thinking.
Design Thinking approaches complex questions from a human-centered perspective. Knowledge obtained trough constant interaction with the potential user ensures that the innovation process focuses on the real needs of the customer. But design thinking is not only about observing users. It is also a hands on approach in which prototyping solutions plays a big role. Prototyping means to create a quick and dirty version of a possible solution in order to be able to test it. In this 90 minute workshop we will do a “Fast-Forward”, a run through of an entire design thinking process: observing & interviewing, idea creation, prototyping and testing.
6:15 – 7:30 pm: Workshop
7:30 – 8:00 pm: Drinks & Mingling
About Viola Hoffmann:
Viola Hoffmann studied Design Thinking at the School of Design Thinking at the Hasso Plattner Institut in Potsdam while finishing her Masters in International Business and Politics at the Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. Inspired both by the liveliness of the Design Thinking innovation process as well as by her entrepreneurial study program, Viola cofounded the company Accedera GmbH in 2013. Through this startup experience she experienced the importance of working with a user-centric focus and getting early feedback from the user.
Factory Women is a group within the Factory community working to promote the personal and career development of female Factory members in the male-dominated startup landscape. We meet every two weeks, with each meeting alternating between a workshop and member spotlight.
