With our new location about to open, Factory Berlin’s square meterage is not the only thing that’s growing. We’re pleased to announce our new partnership with Daimler Financial Services (DFS).
DFS will be coming into the Factory Family with an incredibly exciting new division at their disposal. During the 2017 Web Summit, they introduced their Startup Intelligence Center (SIC) to attendees. The goal: To enable and accelerate partnerships within the Startup sphere to develop and prosper. The candidate: Startups within the mobility, finance & insurance services which fall under the FinTech, InsurTech marketplace.
Daimler Financial Services has successfully built and fostered innovation on a global scale, obtaining success stories such as car2go, mytaxi, Flixbus, Blacklane, and AutoGravity. Now they have started their partnership with Factory to connect even more innovators of the financial, insurance and mobility sectors globally. Why? Because beauty lies in collaboration and bold, extensive networks. Focused on Berlin, Daimler Financial Services aims to set a footprint in its ecosystem of startups and digital talents. They are on the lookout for innovative ideas and products which will help them to digitize the financial, insurance and mobility customer journey and provide even more delighting customer experience. Last but not least they want to learn from the startup world – their agility, creativity and spirit – and unite the best of both.
"Our global network with partners, such as the U.S.-based startup accelerator MobilityX or Startup-Autobahn's Fintech from Singapore makes it possible for us to connect innovators from around the world with one another, as well as to benefit from the cultural diversity of ideas, talent, and technological know-how."
The introduction of their new Startup Intelligence Center enables entrepreneurs to pitch their concepts to internal experts via www.startupintelligence.io. If successful, Startups are then opened up to a world of opportunity via financial support, 40 markets to globally scale their products as well as access to a global network of experts and customers of Daimler. When discussing the tremendous opportunities that lie within the program, Sophia Roediger from the Startup Intelligence Center stated, “Our global network with partners, such as the U.S.-based startup accelerator MobilityX or Startup-Autobahn’s Fintech from Singapore makes it possible for us to connect innovators from around the world with one another, as well as to benefit from the cultural diversity of ideas, talent, and technological know-how.”
We are thrilled to welcome Daimler Financial Services into our community, and invite Factory Startups to connect with them. Now it’s time to take on Berlin!
