Art(ificial) Intelligence & Augmenting Relationships: On The Red Couch with Reeps 100 (Harry Yeff)

For our next On The Red Couch we’re joined by two international artists and musicians from our current Artist Residency program hosted in partnership with Sónar+D.

What are the narratives that allow the world to embrace technology and do artists offer an answer? Harry Yeff (Reeps 100) walks us through his portfolio of interactive installation, creative use of machine learning and vocal performance to explore the concept of intelligent interruption and the power of narrative lead research.

For this event Harry will be joined by his fellow Artist in Residence at Factory Berlin, Portrait XO AKA Rania Kim, who will moderate the conversation around their shared passion for musical experiences influenced, inspired and created with emerging technologies.

About the Moderator

As a soulful music artist with synaesthesia between taste and sound, Portrait XO (Rania Kim) explores multiple dimensions as a singer/songwriter/producer/installation artist with a humanistic, emotional, and scientific approach to challenge new ways of co-creating. She is the inaugural resident artist at Factory Berlin exploring all the possibilities of where we can go with AI, sound, and interactive media. She is currently an Artist in Residence for the 2019 Factory Berlin x Sónar+D Artist Residency.

About On The Red Couch

In the 1960s, Billy Name brought a red couch into Andy Warhol’s Factory, and it became the best place to crash for many of his overnight guests. In the spirit of Warhol’s Factory, Factory Berlin invites widely praised and respected guests from the arts and creative scene to come and speak on our very own red couch to share their experience and learnings with our diverse community.
