Find out how is it possible to open and run EU-based companies 100% online with e-Residency of Estonia.
In 2014, the Government of Estonia launched e-Residency, an online digital ID that enables to establish and manage EU-based companies 100% online. To-date the programme has attracted a global community of 92,000 e-Residents, including 5,300 who are German nationals. The programme has attracted many remote entrepreneurs, including nomads as well as very internationalised and startup businesses. E-Residency has also boosted Estonian startup ecosystem with every 3rd Estonian startup having at least one e-Resident founder. To-date, 10 unicorn companies have grown out of Estonia or have been founded by Estonians.
