Google Startup School by Google for Entrepreneurs

Workshop: Finding, Hiring, and Onboarding Your Team

A three hour workshop for startup founders, focusing on the Google methodology and best practices around hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and managing effective teams.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discover Google’s best practices for creating job descriptions, interviewing, and selecting top candidates.
  • Understand how to onboard your new employees, set them up for success, and create a strong team dynamic as your startup grows.
  • Lastly, we’ll discuss what it means to establish a strong foundation for your team using Google’s research on high-performing teams.

This session is designed to be interactive and fun, with plenty of opportunity for sharing and learning from each other.

Your Google coach and mentor for the day, Jörg Dörnemann, has been working at the intersection of “old” and “new” media for many years – first as a BCG strategy consultant, then as Director Strategy & Research at MTV Networks. In 2007 he joined the leadership team of Holtzbrinck Digital. In 2010 Jörg co-founded and led epubli, a platform for Self-Publishing and Print-on-Demand. He’s been working with Google since 2016.
