Music technology has grown at an exponential rate in the last 20 years, making music production processes which were only possible in multi-million dollar studios, possible now on a laptop and music software. One of the leading music production softwares is Berlin-based Ableton Live, which will transform your laptop into a digital music production powerhouse, and which has become the tool of choice by many, to produce today’s hit records.
In this interactive class, 343 Labs founder and Ableton Certified Trainer Max Wild will give an overview to music production and break down the basic concepts to start making music on a laptop.
Topics covered include: The concept of a DAW and MIDI, using samples, finding and sculpting sounds and overall workflow techniques. No prior music knowledge is needed to participate or learn from this presentation.

About the Speaker:
Max Wild is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist and Ableton Certified Trainer, with degrees from leading conservatories in the UK and NYC. He is one of the co-founders of 343 Labs, and was a long-time instructor at Dubspot and the Manhattan School of Music. His music merges electronic with acoustic sounds, showcasing his diverse musical influences from jazz, Brazilian, to electronic.
