How to support your body & mind in times of stress and anxiety.
Presented by Franzie’s World
Workshop / Demo / Q&A
With years of experience working in key positions in film production and the music industry, Franziska Eichler knows a thing or two about dealing with keeping calm under pressure. In 2017, the former booking agent and tour coordinator of electronic music heavyweights like Richie Hawtin and Skrillex decided to switch lanes and transition to become a yoga teacher, nutritionist, and coach for mental & physical wellbeing. Through her programs, she now helps industry leaders change negative mindsets and destructive behaviors, make better lifestyle choices, and have more control over their health and state of mind.
In this session, Franziska will give detailed advice and practical tips on how to use a balanced diet, meditation and breathing, exercise and day-to-day routines in order to effectively switch from ‘fight or flight’ modes into states of deep relaxation. For those in attendance, but especially for those who can’t join on the day, Kickstarter and The Creative Independent created a brand new zine, “On Feeling Healthy,” that captures some of Franziska’s most important learnings alongside tips and wisdom from creatives of all disciplines.
‘On Feeling Healthy’ tackles one of the most urgent topics for any creative endeavor: mental and physical well-being.
GET AN OVERVIEW ON:
• The relationship between stress and diet
• The different parts of the brain, brainwaves, and how they influence your state of mind
• How to manipulate them through breath, music, meditation and supplements
• How to implement more self-awareness in every day, and why that’s a good idea!

Kickstarter announces a new residency and partnership with Factory Berlin to highlight and foster creative communities.
Starting September 2019, Kickstarter and Factory Berlin team up for an ongoing residency of workshops, lectures and editorial events at Factory Berlin’s Creators Lab. The goal is to provide a space to share knowledge and connect Factory Berlin and Kickstarter’s respective networks of creators with competent partners and like-minded collectives. The curation of the space will focus on themes around sustainability, mental and physical wellbeing, the creative process, ethical entrepreneurship, and innovation.
Each partnership entails a series of events over the course of three months respectively, which allows all parties involved to establish meaningful collaborations that last way beyond the duration of the residency.
Every residency will be a true collaborative effort between Kickstarter, Factory Berlin and one or more high-profile partner(s), who help us bring the space to life.
Kicking things off on September 24th, 2019, we’re most happy to join forces with shesaid.so, a globe-spanning network of womxn in the music industry.
With their focus on female empowerment, encouraged allyship, and the exchange of emotional and practical guidance, shesaidso are a perfect match for Kickstarter and Factory Berlin’s joint mission.
