In this workshop you will learn the basics of digital lighting technology, tools & trends, you will get inspired by the work of lighting designers in different fields, and you will have the chance of creating you own lighting designs using ProtoPixel, the platform that makes lighting design, distribution and control easy for everyone. No previous experience required!

ProtoPixel is the platform that makes lighting design, deployment and control easy for everyone. It allows agencies and design professionals to easily create unique lighting experiences directly from the cloud for a broad range of retail, hospitality and entertainment businesses.
For the last 20 years Sebastian has been working, researching and speaking about creative technology and innovation. He leverages an extensive business, design and management background to create groundbreaking, user-centric, market-validated products that have a direct impact in businesses and in how people create and shape their environment. He is co-founder and managing partner of ProtoPixel.
Imanol Gómez is a creative technologist interested in exploring the interdisciplinary and critical perspectives on art, science, design, and technology. Recently, he has been mainly working with generative visuals and light as source of expression.
Moritz Behrens is an architect and maker, an interaction designer and researcher currently based in Berlin. On graduating from UCL Bartlett School of Architecture, he works at the intersection of architecture and interactive lighting. Moritz focuses on designing for technology-mediated architectural experiences in public space, which encourage people to engage with each other. Previously he worked with the renowned designer Ingo Maurer in Munich. Moritz’ interactive media installations have been exhibited amongst others at the Ars Electronica Festival, the Vivid Sydney Festival, Verve Cultural in Sao Paulo and Staro Riga. The Sentiment Cocoon project was awarded a Media Architecture Award 2016 and German Design Award 2017. Moritz recent publications include: Sentiment Architectures. A Field Trip to Behaviour and Cognition in Time and Space, (BotoPress Berlin, 2016).

As part of Factory Berlin events, video, picture or audio recordings are made regularly. The attendee/guest agrees that the Factory Berlin or authorized third parties can create image and/or audio recordings of the attendee/guest during the events at any time and the attendee/guest agrees to such by visiting the respective event.
The attendee/guest consents irrevocably, unlimited in time and for any current and future audiovisual media in the free use, exploitation and distribution of image and/or audio of his/her person. This includes, but is not limited to, photographs, live broadcasts, broadcasts and/or recordings made by the Factory Berlin or its respective promoter or its agents in connection with the event and distributed on the Factory Berlin website or other means of communication.
