Factory Berlin’s Women and Solopreneurs Circles are inviting you to this event to learn more about the ins and outs of online negotiation. Some dread it, some love it, but everyone would agree, that negotiation skills are essential if you are an entrepreneur, a freelancer or self-employed. The most common form of negotiating has been face-to-face interactions. However, as in the last few months almost everything moved online, so did the process of negotiation.

Factory Berlin’s Women and Solopreneurs Circles decided to address this situation. We have invited negotiation experts to share their knowledge and experience of how best to transfer the usual face to face techniques into online negotiation. How and when can we use various digital channels to our advantage? What to keep in mind, and what to avoid? Online negotiation creates special challenges. With email, instant messaging, and text messages, negotiators typically lack visual, verbal, and other sensory cues to interpret how their counterpart is feeling. And while video conferencing—via Zoom, Skype, Google Hangouts, and so on—adds many of these cues to the picture, it’s still an imperfect solution (limited visibility, technical difficulties. privacy and security challenges). At our interactive online event, you shall learn the theory and practical tips of online negotiation, hear personal experiences, and also test your newly acquired skills with each other. This event will be hosted online on Zoom. On the day of the event you will receive an E-mail with Zoom log-in details. The Event is open to Factory Berlin members and external guests.
