Bringing together the smartest minds from both Berlin and the Ruhrgebiet, Building Bridges aims to foster innovation and accelerate business successes.

At this final pitch event for Building Bridges #1, all participating startups will take to the stage to present their business, an expert panel will discuss collaboration and everyone is invited to meet & mingle, both physically and online.

RuhrLAB decided to focus on HealthTech Startups with its first batch of the Building Bridges program. Over 3 months, Startups will be supported by opening doors to Ruhrgebiet experts, universities, corporations and startups.

About the Ruhrgebiet

The Ruhrgebiet and surrounding area is the most populated region in Germany, and is home to 20.6 % of all German startups, with a strong focus on B2B business models. 21% of its startups’ business models are in the fields of cybersecurity, logistics and artificial intelligence. The healthcare industry in the Ruhr area is one of its biggest employers and encompasses large international corporations & SMEs driving innovation and growth in pharmaceuticals, life science and medical engineering.
