What will Berlin look like in the future? To discuss how a Smart City of the future will really look, NUMA are running their Smart City Meetup series in partnership with Factory Berlin. We invite everyone interested in how technology shapes urban development: startups, corporates, public officials, citizens and everyone else who wants to make city life easier and more sustainable.

This time the meetup will focus on Data-driven Innovation for Smart Cities – join us on November 27th for inspiring presentations, networking and discussions:

Speakers:

*** Darius Moeini (MD NUMA Berlin) & Maximilian Thess (Program Manager NUMA DataCity) – Welcome & Introduction to Smart City Innovation

*** Georg Held (Sales Solution Architect at HERE Technologies) – Experiences with Data in Smart Cities.
Mapping has always been about discovery. For centuries, two-dimensional maps guided us through the unknown to our destination. But we are no longer limited by the edges of our physical maps. In 1985, we began with the simple goal to digitize mapping and pioneer in-car navigation systems. Over the next three decades, as NAVTEQ and Nokia, we’ve built a legacy in mapping technology. Today, we’re creating living three-dimensional maps that grow upwards, breathing with layers of information and insights. This talk will provide insights on utilizing data in Smart Cities.

*** Aleksandar Stojanovic (Executive Chairmen and Co-founder at AVA) – Data-driven innovation at AVA
AVA enables individuals, organizations and societies to make the best-informed, security-related decisions. Monitoring mass volumes of data from multiple sources, AVA’s artificial intelligence calculates the statistical, present and predictive risk for any given location in real-time.

*** Data-driven Innovation at Targomo (Speaker will be announced soon)
Targomo helps business and public organizations harvest the power of advanced spatial analysis. Their technology simplifies online search for spatial objects by applying sophisticated route planning and travel time algorithms and visualization.

*** more announced soon
