CircularTree’s vision is a world which is built on a circular economy. Our contribution and mission is to make it simpler and safer for organizations to tackle their responsibilities in regards to social and environmental aspects along the supply chain. We believe that Blockchain is a great tool to provide a certain level of transparency and having an immutable record for audits while protecting the confidential business aspects of supply chain participants.
Marielle Dado – Moyee Coffee
Marielle Dado is a member of the Moyee Germany expansion team. She is co-owner of Agnep Heritage Farms, a coffee farm in the Philippines that practices organic and sustainable agroforestry, and also works as a data scientist
Moyee is a specialty coffee company with a mission to set new, fairer standards in the coffee industry. Currently, 90% of the total value-added of coffee is generated in the Global North, whereas only 2% of that value is left in coffee-producing countries in the Global South. For most coffee farmers, this is not enough to provide a dignified standard of living for themselves and their families.
This needs to change. That’s why Moyee not only sources beans in Ethiopia, but roasts them there as well. This means more jobs and more money stays within Ethiopia, as well as an excellent cup of coffee that we can all enjoy.
Together with the Fairchain Foundation (founded in the Netherlands in 2013) and in partnership with KrypC Technologies, Moyee shows what truly fair value creation is like and how technology can support this mission.
