Overcome fear and transform the Berlin winter blues. Learn to take flight in your life. Join Cari Merriam, for a foundational arm balance and inversion yoga workshop.

This fun, challenging workshop is designed to teach you how to overcome your fears of getting upside down why you learn the foundational principles needed for inversions and arm balances in your yoga practice.

When we invert our bodies it can be extremely scary. During our time together you will develop the awareness mindfulness needed to not only get upside down, but build a practice of your own using the wall and working in partners. Creative play will build your strength and confidence to explore these poses in a safe and constructive way.

We will break down each of the following postures so you understand the muscle mechanics needed to achieve flight.

  • Adho Mukha Svanasana – Downward Facing Dog
  • Bakasana – Crow
  • Kakasana – Crane
  • Pincha Mayurasana – Forearm Balance
  • Adho Mukha Vrksasana – Handstand
  • Salamba Sarvangasana – Shoulder Stand
  • Sirsasana – Headstand
  • Viparita Karani – Legs Elevated Pose

This 2 hr workshop will focus on playful inversions that are accessible on many levels to ALL yogis! Come explore some fun arm balances!
