Factory Network is an international community of innovators and changemakers who empower each other to create, share, and disrupt. Inspired by Andy Warhol’s famed Factory in New York, Factory Network brings together the brightest minds from tech, politics, arts, and science into one dynamic and collaborative ecosystem. Our members’ extraordinary drive for innovation impels them to become the opinion leaders of tomorrow.

Our community comes together at our locations in Berlin and Hamburg’s historic and sought after areas, Mitte and Hammerbrook. Meeting an inspiring environment designed to facilitate our members’ inherent desire to pave the way of the future, we regularly host events curated for the local ecosphere to bring like-minded people together and encourage them to share expertise, experiences, and ideas.

Defined by the various social milieus that bring us together, Factory Network is a melting pot of personalities, skills, and resources, representing the intriguingly diverse atmosphere of Germany’s bustling startup ecosystem.

A Factory Network Membership comprises three main elements: access to our community & network, digital tools, events & programming, and both of our campuses (Mitte & Hammerbrooklyn).

Members reap a number of benefits from being a part of our community. With the help of our Digital Platform and Community Management Team, members are matched with other community members based on their needs and interests.

This could include things like:

• Introductions to investors and VCs
• Meeting potential cofounders
• Getting to know potential team members, such as developers, designers or marketers
• Having access to a number of curated freelancers and service providers in the fields of tax and law advisory, marketing and communications, software development, outsourcing/nearshoring etc.
• Getting feedback and advice from mentors and industry experts
• Being matched with potential corporate partners and clients

Members gain access to a number of educational classes and workshops, provided by experts in their field (e.g. workshops from our partners, member-to-member skill sharing workshops).

Members can attend our exclusive member events and get preferred access to public ones, such as our famous Fireside Chats, On The Red Couch and Meet & Pitch.

Members have access to a number of perks and discounts from our variety of partners as well as numerous member-to-member perks.

Members can access both of our campuses, which are open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 9:00pm, and include:

Members are part of our online community and can connect with other members digitally 24/7.

Members have access to any Google for Startups campuses worldwide through the Google for Startups Passport Program.

Members can host events and workshops in our various event spaces at heavily discounted rates.

Membership currently costs up to €170 net per month, depending on the membership plan. Check out our membership plans. For team memberships, you can find the full pricing on our Team Memberships page.

Memberships run indefinitely until they are cancelled. Before applying for a membership, there are two things to keep in mind:

• Firstly, we have a minimum commitment period of three (3) full months. During this period all new members will be integrated into the community in a supported manner.
• Secondly, we have a cancellation notice period of one (1) full calendar month. This means that a membership will cease at the end of the month following the formal notice.

So, for example, if you start your membership on April 3rd, your first possible cancellation date is August 1st, so long as you request your cancellation by June 30th, as per our cancellation notice period.

To cancel your Factory Network membership, please log into the Members Platform and navigate to ‘Manage Membership’. Scroll down the page to ‘Cancel Membership’ and follow the instructions.

We have a cancellation notice period of one (1) full calendar month. This means that a membership will cease at the end of the next membership month following the formal notice.

Please do keep in mind that we also have a three-month minimum commitment period in place, so the earliest you can cancel your membership is three (3) full calendar months after your membership starts.

We do not fully pause or suspend memberships. However, if you are on a Network + Campus Membership, you can downgrade to the Network membership temporarily €30 net per month. The primary benefit membership provides is access to the community, which is available digitally, even when not on campus or in the country.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to enter our campuses if you are not a Factory Network member, or if you are not visiting one of our members.

Our Mitte Factory Kitchen & Cafe is a public space where you can meet amazing people for great coffee, food and wifi. We also regularly host public events that we invite you to check out.

Since we are a tightly curated community focused on long-term relationship building, we desire engaged members who want to contribute and benefit from our community and network. If you need a desk for only a few days, there are many coworking spaces you can approach in Berlin better suited for your needs.

If you travel to Berlin/Hamburg regularly and are based elsewhere, check out our Network Membership.

As Factory Network is a community and not a coworking space, we do not offer any fixed or dedicated desks, only flexible working spaces for individuals. If you are looking for a workplace only, there are solutions out there that are much better suited.

For startup and corporate teams to benefit from our network it is important for them to have fixed and private spaces. This is where our Private Labs come in. Please note that these are tightly curated due to high demand and to promote the collaborative community concept for our startups.

Meeting room bookings can be purchased with credits.

Members will be able to purchase credits and book meeting rooms directly in their Member Profile.

If you are interested in hosting a meeting at Factory Berlin and you are not a member, please reach out to our events team for a quotation on renting a space.

Our members are allowed to have two guests with them at a time in our community spaces. All guests must be invited via our Members Platform beforehand to be able to enter our campuses. If you need to have more external people in the space (e.g. meeting with investors, clients, workshop) – you have to book a meeting room in advance, and let our reception team know the names of the people that you expect in our space.

Although we do not have a limit on the number of guests that you may bring into the space, generally once the same person has been signed in 2 times within a one-month period, we reach out to the member to try to understand a little more about why this person is visiting. The main reason for us making this enquiry is to find out whether it perhaps makes sense for this person to apply for membership with us, and thereby see what they may be able to contribute to our community.

Yes, for 30€ net per month per company, you can officially register up to three companies to one of our addresses.

If you have registered your company with us we offer the possibility to receive mail for your company which can be picked up at our campus reception.

We are thrilled to get to know great people from partner communities, too. Just ask your Google for Startups campus to send us an introduction and inform us of your visit so we can welcome you here at Factory Network.

As we review each individual submission, it’s important for all applicants to take time and submit a thoughtful application.

We have a variety of options available for Startup and Corporate teams such as a fixed desk in a Shared Startup Lab for teams of 2-6 people in size, our Private Labs for Startups teams of up to 12, and our Out of Town Membership with flexible access for teams of 4.

Non-members are invited to check out our Mitte Factory Kitchen in Berlin, which is a public space, and public events across Berlin and Hamburg to get to know us and our community at any time.

We don’t offer tours of our buildings, and our community spaces are not accessible to non-members. Non-members are able to test the space for the day as a guest of an existing member.

We hold many events to support and empower our members as well as the wider Berlin and Hamburg tech ecosystems.

Each event listing will state whether it is a Public Event or a Member Event.

Some of our events are open to both the public and members free-of-charge. These events may or may not be ticketed. Check the event listing to find out if you need to register in advance.

We also have some events that are free for members, but non-members have to pay to attend the event.

Some events at Factory Network are member-only. These can only be attended by members of our community and are considered a perk of being part of our community.

On some occasions, we will host events in our spaces for external companies or organizations. The ticketing for these events will be taken care of by the client. If not, then the same rules as above would apply for the ticketing.

In general, guests who have signed up for member tickets will be asked to show proof of membership at the door. If they cannot they may be turned away or required to pay for a public ticket.
