Adam Katz is a cultural consultant, brand strategist, and entrepreneur committed to education, art, music, and emerging technologies. He is the Founder and CEO of Imprint Projects, a post-advertising creative agency based in Los Angeles. Clients and collaborators include global brands (Spotify, Levi’s, Sonos), leading nonprofits (The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Museum of Modern Art), and creative communities around the world. Founded in 2011, Imprint Projects is an award-winning agency (AdAge, D&AD) recognized for both creative output and company culture. For five years, Adam also served as President and Creative Director of Moogfest, an experimental music, and technology festival.

Andreea Magdalina is a connector. Currently, between Los Angeles and London, her work is rooted at the intersection of music and technology with a focus on empowering women through her work as the CEO of shesaid.so, an organisation she founded in 2014. Andreea is an experienced speaker on topics such as music and brand partnerships, business development, brand strategy, building community, marketing, and diversity & inclusion. She has spent the past 3 years working with creative agencies to develop digital-first content, technology products, and strategic partnerships for global brands. As of May 2019, she is focusing on her role as Managing Director at shesaid.so in addition to consulting for music, technology and culture-forward clients.

Having started out as a classical pianist, “with a penchant for building his own computers and synthesizers”, Andrew Melchior has written, performed, and produced music for himself and others and is now also renowned for his experiments in digital media, for artists including Massive Attack and Björk. Melchior acted as Technical Advisor to Björk for work featured in Björk Digital, an ongoing touring virtual reality exhibition featuring VR music videos for the singer’s ninth studio album, Vulnicura. Björk and her collaborators are widely seen to be at the cutting edge of digital experimentation in music. He is the CTO for Massive Attack and Founder of Thirdspace.co

Annie Lin is Senior Corporate Counsel at Twitch Interactive, Inc., which operates the leading live video streaming service Twitch. In this role, Annie leads legal efforts for Twitch’s global music initiatives and drives strategy for commercial partnerships and licensing. She has previously served as in-house counsel for Netflix’s music group, general counsel of Loudr (acquired by Spotify), and director of licensing at The Orchard, and has advised digital media companies on matters related to music and content distribution. She is a graduate of Rice University and the University of Houston Law Center. Annie has previously served as a board member of Women in Music and currently lives in San Francisco.

Christian “Mio” Loclair, creative director at Waltz Binaire, is a new media designer, code artist, and choreographer from Berlin, Germany. He explores the harmonic friction of nature colliding with digital aesthetics and data. Using cutting-edge technology in interactive installations, audio-visual experiences, visual narratives, and dance performances, he continuously illuminates the beauty and drama of human identity. He is publishing his work on mobile applications, digital projections, and theatre stages around the world for commercial and independent projects.

Mio is winner of the honorary mention at Ars Electronica 2017, wrote scientific papers about human-computer interaction, and was op 16 world-ranked dance soloist in 2007 and 2010. His work was featured by companies such as Google, Mercedes Benz, and BMW. Furthermore, Mio presented insights about his works in Talks at MIT Hacking Arts, Centre Pompidou, Mercedes Benz X SXSW, and many more.

Visual artist and tech innovator, with over 10 years of experience in consumer tech, building digital products and innovative platforms for the creative and entertainment industries, a graduate of De Montfort University (MA in Creative Technologies) and Nicolaus Copernicus University (Master of Fine Arts). Dom was instrumental in developing the first music and hardware ecosystems whilst at Pure (part of Imagination Technologies) as well as being responsible for a suite of multiroom and music and radio streaming apps.

Today, Dominika leads Abbey Road’s digital roadmap including tools and services for musicians. She developed and launched the first Abbey Road Studio mobile app, song-writing app called Topline, which won the Best Music App and Best UX Design trophies at the UK App Awards in 2018. She’s also a member of the board of Abbey Road Red, Europe’s first incubator for audio tech start-ups, and she conceived and launched the series of Abbey Road Hackathons, focusing on AI driven music production tools and immersive experiences. The Gropius Bau is one of the most important exhibition houses in Europe. With well-regarded contemporary and archaeological exhibitions, the Gropius Bau has repeatedly opened up new spaces of experience and established its international reputation. In view of the eventful history and the diverse institutions that have been active here over time, the Gropius Bau is structured as an open framework for dealing with a wide variety of artistic ways of thinking and their social implications. Through active collaboration with contemporary artists on the program, creative processes are disclosed, new perspectives are opened and the possibilities of the institution are reflected.

Based in Berlin, and with over a decade of experience as a successful entrepreneur, technology expert, and strategic consultant, Evgeni works at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and culture, Fluent in English, German, and Russian). Evgeni’s experience and focus are grounded in three different careers. Katia Isakoff is a composer, music producer, and the founder of !N_KoL//\\B; a new music series bringing together pioneering, established, and emerging artists, to collaborate in various studios and pop-up locations. She is currently working on the first series with electronic music pioneer Suzanne Ciani, Marta Salogni (Bjork), and Anil Aykan (Fragile Self).

Katia’s compositions, performances, and productions first appeared in the Add N To (X) album Loud Like Nature (Mute Records, 2002) and later in a Steven Spielberg TV series, amongst others. Lewamm “Lu” Ghebremariam is a Senior Campaign Strategist for the petition platform Change.org in Germany. Since 2018, she has been supporting and advising activists with her marketing and strategy expertise making national and international headlines. She has accompanied numerous campaigns and initiatives – with a particular focus on elevating “marginalized” voices or helping “niche” issues become mainstream, including #RKellyStummschalten (#MuteRkelly Germany), #TrueDiskriminierung or the recently passed law against Upskirting.

Lucas is a Managing Director at Sound Diplomacy Berlin, advising cities, regions, and public institutions on how public policy affects the health of music- and cultural scenes, recently working with cities such as Lausanne, San Francisco & Atlanta. He initiated the Music Cities Hackathon, which has taken place in Vancouver and Berlin. Before starting at Sound Diplomacy, he was a program curator at Tech Open Air Berlin and worked in the music industry in Vienna. In the past, he has spoken at events such as Mutek Montreal, Amsterdam Dance Event, and BIME Bilbao. Lucas holds degrees from the Stockholm School of Economics and the Vienna School of Business and Economics.

Lukas Drevenstedt started organizing raves and underground parties in urban spaces through cultural events in 2012 with his DJ collective LAPIDAR. While studying Economics, Sociology, and Philosophy in Berlin and Amsterdam, he became involved with urban activism and joined Clubcommission in 2013. After several years as a Board Member and finishing his M.A. in Cultural Management at Freie Universität Berlin, he now works for Clubcommission as General Manager. He is co-author of the published study CLUB CULTURE BERLIN and has developed the concept for the new CLUBKATASTER 2.0.

Marie Albert has more than 10 years of experience in innovative projects at the crossroads of culture and technology. Passionate about the intersection of art, technologies, and society, she developed and managed many initiatives in creative industries (fablab, music incubator, art & tech residencies…). She joined the French Tech Grande Provence in 2017, a regional hub for creativity, entrepreneurship, and innovation-based in the South of France. As Head of European cooperation, she is in charge of several projects in the framework of the S+T+ARTS European program (STARTS Residencies, STARTS Regional Centers, STARTS Prize). She is also a journalist for Makery, the online media for labs & makers based in Paris, where she publishes articles and interviews in the art+science+tech field.

Ronny’s passion and curiosity for art and creativity have always been the driving force in his life. First, as an artist and later as part of the music and tech industry. In the past 25 years, Ronny has worked with EFA distribution, Beatport, Modeselektor/Moderat, Shutterstock, LANDR, Native Instruments, and others. He is now acting as General Manager Europe for Patreon in Berlin. Ronny is a board member of vut (the German association of the independent music industry) and part of the “Digitalisation and AI” committee at the German Cultural Council. A few of his previous talks and presentations include Berlinale, Sonar+D, ADE, MIDEM, Reeperbahn Festival, Mutek, c/o Pop, Sonic Visions, Most Wanted Music, and more.

Sandira Calviac is the Managing Director of Nistana Ventures. On the board of Synapse Medicine, a fast-growing AI-powered platform, she was recently asked to join as their Chief Strategy Officer after helping secure their seed and Series A funding. Earlier, Sandira served as CEO of VOXON Photonics, a Techstars-alumni venture which built the world’s first glasses-free 3D holographic computing platform. While heading Strategic Alliances for P2P mobile mesh networking leader Open Garden (FireChat), she successfully worked on the closing of their Series A from top tier institutional investors. Having dropped out of high school to start her first company, her career led her from Europe, India, New York, Seattle, to Silicon Valley, with a stint in Hong Kong. Sandira remains an active advisor and cross-cultural contributor for early-stage frontier and purpose-driven ventures. A founding member of Women in 3D printing, she enjoys painting abstract and volunteers as a certified mediator at Community Boards serving the city of San Francisco.

For over 10 years, Shauna has been at the intersection of music and brands by building innovative, culture-forward partnerships across digital, social, print, and experiential opportunities. She has had the pleasure of working with notable brands like Anheuser-Busch, Apple Music, Amazon, Bacardí, The Boston Beer Company, Calvin Klein, Coca-Cola, Diageo, Dolby, DropBox, Google, Land Rover, Mail Chimp, Marriott International, Microsoft, New Balance, Shinola, Showtime, Spotify, TikTok, Visible (a Verizon backed company), and many more. Currently, Shauna is the Head of Brand Partnerships at The FADER, a music and culture editorial magazine and online platform that is known for its ear-to-the-ground trend casting content to find the next names in music. Over the years, The FADER has been credited with giving early exposure to top artists including Kanye West, Bon Iver, Kendrick Lamar, Outkast, The Strokes, Drake, The White Stripes, and many more. The FADER’s celebrated flagship live music event, FADER FORT, presents some of today’s most innovative programming and emerging artists to fans.

From launching a label, curating a festival, and running a successful club-night to producing award-winning films, Sky Deep is much more than a DJ/Producer. Based in Berlin, she has lived half her life in NYC and Los Angeles. She has been a touring performer through Europe and the USA for the last several years and has worked as a guitarist and vocalist. Recently, music icon Peaches has brought Sky on as a core multi-instrumentalist in her touring band in such venues as Deutsche Oper, Volksbühne in Berlin, and at London’s Royal Festival Hall. Sky Deep lives to connect passions — crossing over with genres such as House, Funk, Bass, HipHop, and Techno. In addition, she also is an educator.

Stephan is an entrepreneur, solution architect, and digital enthusiast. He has a proven track record in startups and corporate environments from strategy to business design and digital product development. As a media executive, Stephan and his team delivered various digital showroom projects for leading automotive OEMs on a global scale which are industry benchmarks for interactive car configurators. In his role as Head of Immersive Experiences at MHP, he is focusing on creating value and solving critical use cases based on XR solutions driven by game engines.

Stephanie Pereira is a community engagement expert with over fifteen years of experience working at the intersection of arts and business. Prior to joining NEW INC, she was a senior leader at Kickstarter where she worked for over six years, first as the inaugural Director of Arts, and ultimately as Director of Creator Engagement where she oversaw strategic growth and management of a global community of over 100K people. Prior to working at Kickstarter, Pereira was an Associate Director at Eyebeam Art + Technology Center. She has an MA in Arts Administration from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a BFA in Visual Arts from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.
