Future Tech, 1984
In 1984, Apple Computer aired a convention-shattering, viral advertisement of the brand new Macintosh just days before its release.
This Berlin Tech Halloween, we’re taking over the ground floor of Factory Görlitzer Park to recreate the future that we imagined back when Steve Jobs revolutionised the computer.
Join us for DJ sets from FLEMISH.FETISH, Alienata, Sarah Wild, Madmotormiquel and Lenny Posso.
Spanish-born, Berlin-based Alienata is a self-described sound obsessive whose sets span obscure electro, ACID, dub, IDM, dark disco, jakbeat, hypnotic techno, industrial atmospheres, break beats, cosmic jazz , UK electro, Detroit, Chicago influences and crazy sounds in general.
Born and raised in West Berlin, Madmotormiquel had only music and collecting records on his mind from an early age. Influenced by British ’77 punk-rock and US punk from the late 80s he soon realised musical boundaries were nothing for him. His equally large passion for hip-hop paved the way to electronic productions. Big beat, drum ‚n‘ bass, acid techno, early spiral tribe stuff…
His first Fusion Festival in early 2000 as well as many illegal open airs and parties in a city filled with open spaces after the fall of the Berlin Wall, shaped the path he would take. Up until then a party DJ with diverse genres, his passion for techno/house music steadily grew.
With a continuous stream of releases spreading to all corners of the planet, he now plays gigs all around the world and creates the perfect art of shape-making one dance floor at a time.
FLEMISH.FETISH is a Belgian born, Berlin based House DJ & founder of Queer collective BRENN. Berlin. In the past he played at events from Gegen, Queerport Festival, Schwuz, WHOLE Festival, Renate, Tipsy Bear, QReclaim (Athens), Broncos (Hannover), +++.
You can always expect Hi-NRG sets with a strong reference to 90’s house, disco & vocally loaded tracks. Altogether mixed in with some fierce Queer vibes.
Once an infamous host for underground raves in Berlin, Sarah Wild is now a sought-after DJ and producer talent from Berlin. Her energetic sets oscillate between acid basslines and piano elements. Today, Sarah Wild lives from her music and has already released on Permanent Vacations, Feines Tier and her own label Midnight Operators.
Lenny Posso, a born and raised New Yorker, has traveled the ranks of the NYC dance music culture over the past three decades, relishing in all things house and techno since day one… Starting as a dancer in all of New York City’s famous hotspots in the early 90’s, eventually taking to the decks around 96’.
An event promoter and current label manager of 3 record labels; Thema Recordings, Chronicle Records, and Thema Digital Series. Lenny has triumphantly curated and released over 110 releases with many of the world’s well-known and upcoming, underground artists. The labels have set a precedence of putting out some of the most cutting-edge, abstract, house, and techno music to date.

Directed by Ridley Scott, the commercial opens on a dystopian scene of a mind-controlling, propaganda big screen being viewed by a grey-uniformed mass of people. Until suddenly, a woman in bright orange shorts runs into the auditorium and shatters the jumbo screen with a sledgehammer.
A tagline reads: “On January 24th, Apple Computer will introduce Macintosh. And you’ll see why 1984 won’t be like ‘1984.’ “
Factory Berlin members can secure a ticket for free – make sure to bring your member card with you. Friends of Factory Earlybird tickets are €4 and once these are sold out the standard guest ticket will be €8. Invite your guests, friends, family members, dog, but make sure they get in there early! All attendees arriving before 22:00 will receive a free drink to loosen up.
Get into the Halloween vibe and pull on a costume – either in the ‘Future Tech’ theme (let your imagination run wild), that well-known politician, or your favourite film character.
