In the last few decades, sustainability has slowly moved from the fringe to the center. However, there are still numerous sustainability issues which have yet to make this shift. One of the most prominent is undoubtedly food waste, and few scalable solutions existed until Marie, and the team around ResQ began building a marketplace for surplus food…

They turned their concern into one of Europe’s fastest growing social businesses. In this next Coffee Talks, we’ll discuss their journey and how you might embark on your own to leave this planet in a better state than you found it.

Marie has a background in International Business and Sustainability and joined MealSaver, now ResQ Club, right after founding to build up the surplus food marketplace in Hamburg. She has a strong interest in sustainable food systems and started to get more involved in the impacts of food waste during a semester at UC Berkeley. With ResQ Club she wants to prove that sustainable business models have the power to solve social and environmental problems.
